Hellabout Visits London

15 October 2010

UKA is pleased to announce that Olympic high jump champion Tia Hellabout, former European champion and World Indoor pentathlon champion, will be presenting to a small audience about her career from international heptathlete to world class high jumper at Picketts Lock, Lee Valley on Saturday 23 October from 1.30 – 4.30pm.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the world’s great athletes,” says Fuzz Ahmed UKA’s National Event Coach for High Jump. “Her story is unique and extraordinary as she made the transition from a very good heptathlete to an exceptional high jumper when it mattered most.  Her physical development is only bettered by her brilliant competitive mind.  I can’t wait to hear her story.”

Hellabout’s coach Wim Vandeven will also be at UKA’s National Performance Centre at Lee Valley, and following her presentation, both coach and athlete will take part in an open Q&A session.

Space is limited so please contact Sharon Morris ASAP at smorris@uka.org.uk to book your place.
