Hatti Dean (Hallamshire Harriers) continued her impressive form at the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Sheffield  with a new British record in the 3000m steeplechase. Dean’s time of 9:45.22 placed her third behind the Jamaican pair of Korine Hinds and Mardrea Hyman. Fellow Brit Helen Clitheroe (Preston Harriers) came fourth with a personal best of 9:45.22.

In the woman’s 400 metre hurdles Tasha Danvers-Smith (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers) came second behind Australia’s Jana Rawlinson. Lee McConnell (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers) was fourth with a personal best of 56.04.
