Iau 100k Championships

British Athletics has announced a team of four women who will represent GB & NI at the European IAU 100K Championships in Belves, France, on 27th April.

The experiences quartet will be made up of Emma Gooderham (coach: Norman Wilson), Susan Harrison (Les Barnett), Karen Rushton and Helen Taranowski (self-coached).

Gooderham was the first female in the 55km 2011 Commonwealth Ultra-Trail Running Championships in Anglesey, Wales and was second in the 2009 Commonwealth 100km Championships.

Harrison, who won a team silver medal at the 2011 European 100K Championships, set a World V35 Age Best and ran the fastest time that year by a woman for 50km as she set a British record at the IAU 50km World Trophy in Galway, Ireland, in 2010.

45 year old Rushton finished 16th in the IAU World 100km Championships in Seregano in 2012 and Taranowski was a gold medallist at the 2012 World 50km Trophy Final.
