Isaacs Joins Seagrave At EACA Conference

Former national sprints coach John Isaacs is the latest presenter to sign up for the European Athletics Coaches Association (EACA) Conference in five weeks time (November 1st and 2nd) and will joinfive-time NCAA Track & Field Champion coachLoren Seagrave in delivering the sprints/hurdles specific workshop.

 

Isaacs, who has worked as a lecturer with the IAAF, has also engaged in consultancy roles with the Swedish and Finnish Athletics Federations and is best known for his role as coach to a number of top British sprinters including John Regis, Tony Jarrett, Mike McFarlane and Heather Oakes.

 

He joins a hugely impressive line up of presenters for the Glasgow event which also includes David Sunderland (Endurance), Robert Weir (Throws), Loren Seagrave (Sprints/Hurdles), Toni Minichiello (Combined Events) and Frank Attoh (Jumps) in the event-specific workshops.

 

Keynote addresses over the weekend will be delivered by American coach Clyde Hart, who has coached a number of the world’s top athletes including Michael Johnson and Jeremy Wariner, Yannick Tregaro, who led Christian Olsson to Olympic triple jump gold in Athens in 2004, Zhong Bingshu, Director of the IAAF Regional Development Centre in Beijing and Vice-President of Beijing Sport University and Ken Porter, who has coached national team athletes in his native Canada, Australia and Great Britain.

With five weeks to go until the prestigious European Athletics Coaches Association (EACA) Conference in Glasgow (November 1st and 2nd), event organisers are advising that the event is close to capacity.

 

Currently 280 delegates from more than 20 countries have booked up for the event, which has a maximum capacity of 300. It is widely anticipated that the event will be full within the next fortnight.
