Last Chance To Snap Up Tickets For Women's Coaching Conference

The 2013 British Athletics Women’s Coaching Conference, in partnership with the Women in Coaching Advisory Group, will take place on Saturday 19 October at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham.

The event has gone from strength to strength since it’s inauguration in 2009 and this year is set to follow suit with an action packed day of building coaching knowledge and confidence. 

Keynote speakers such as Katharine Merry, Jo Jennings and Mhairi Keil have been confirmed to provide a plethora of coaching expertise, information and experience.

There will also be the opportunity to attend specific coaching workshops across a variety of different topics. Leading wheelchair track and road racing coach Jenni Banks will be providing expertise in one workshop, while Julie Hollman, Marina Armstrong and Leah Dunthorne will cover topics such as injury reduction and plyometrics.

Following the daytime conference, coaches are invited to attend the England Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner which is included within the £30 cost of the day.

Elsewhere, the British Athletics Female Coach Legacy Programme is looking for applicants for the 2013/14 programme.

The programme, run in association with the Women in Coaching Advisory Group, supports the development of female coaches to help develop them into successful coaches of performance athletes.

The programme aims to sit alongside and complement the current local and national coach development programmes available in each home country.
