Shara Proctor (coach: Rana Reider) continued her consistent start to the outdoor season as the 24 year old leapt to a season’s best of 6.92m in Lausanne. Proctor’s jump was just three centimetres off her personal best as she finished in third place, six centimetres behind eventual winner Blessing Okagbare.

In the women’s U20 1500m, Rebecca Weston (Peter Mullervy) recorded a new personal best of 4:24.04 to finish in third, just ahead of fellow Brit Olivia Sadler (Nicole Blood), who crossed the line in a season’s best time of 4:24.63.

James Ellington (Reider) came within 0.04 of his personal best in the 200m, as the 27 year old finished in fourth place in a time of 20.46.

Christine Ohuruogu (Lloyd Cowan) was unable to reproduce the form that saw her win the 400m at the Sainsbury’s Grand Prix – Birmingham last weekend, as the Olympic silver medallist finished fourth in a time of 51.03. American Francena McCorory (50.36) crossed in first place to beat current Diamond Race leader Amantle Montsho (50.37) into second place.  

In a 100m hurdles field that included all three medallists from the Olympic Games, it was London 2012 silver medallist Dawn Harper-Nelson (12.53) that took the victory, with GB & NI’s Tiffany Porter (Reider) finishing in fourth place in 12.65.

Andrew Osagie (Craig Winrow) was eighth in the men’s 800m in 1:46.59 with Mohammad Aman extending his lead at the top of the Diamond League standings with a season’s best performance of 1:43.33

Robbie Grabarz (Fuzz Ahmed) finished in eighth place in the men’s high jump with a best clearance of 2.24m. Diamond Race leader Bohdan Bondarenko, who won last weekend at the Sainsbury’s Grand Prix continued his impressive form as he leapt to a national record of 2.41m – the best jump in the world since 1994.

Steve Lewis (Dan Pfaff, Scott Simpson) retired from the pole vault after one failure at 5.52m.
