Background

In the summer of 2017, London will stage both the IAAF World Athletics Championships and the IPC World Championships in the Olympic Stadium following the successful bids in 2011 and 2012.

London 2017 will be the sixteenth staging of the IAAF World Athletics Championships and it will be held between August 5 to 17, preceded by the IPC World Championships between 15 and 23 July 2017. 

Athletics in the UK is currently experiencing a boom time, with sell-out crowds watching the Anniversary Games in 2013 following the success of the London 2012 athletics programme. Further, athletics has sold out at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, which bodes well for the future and the 2017 Championships.

London 2017 will be positioned as the ‘once in a lifetime’ must-see major event of the year in the UK.

The London 2017 events will be managed by both London 2017 Limited and London Championships Limited.

Information

We are inviting tenders for the Provision of Ticketing.  The successful organisation will be the Ticket supplier for both the IAAF and IPC World Athletics Championships.

If you are interested in participating, please complete the Supplier Profile Form and submit to Kay Wyatt at kwyatt@uka.org.uk by 17 March 2014.  The participating organisations will also have to sign up to a None Disclosure Agreement.

We will issue the Invitation To Tender to those organisations on the 17 April 2014 and aim for the commencement date of 1 September 2014.
