Lee Valley Park Regional Authority, with assistance from the British Milers’ Club, is hosting a Marathon Training Day at the newly opened Lee Valley Athletics Centre in North London on Saturday 17 March (9.30am to 2.30pm).

The day will comprise an organized group session using the scenic and peaceful Lee Valley Pathway, followed by refreshments. Bryan Smith, former National Event Coach for the marathon, will then lead a seminar which will include an interview with Norwich Union GB senior international Dave Mitchinson (Newham and Essex Beagles), who is preparing for this year’s Flora London Marathon.

All are welcome, both athletes and coaches. The cost is £15 per person to include all refreshments and entry to the Athletics Centre.

The event is being organized by David Chalfen, a marathon runner and coach who is Sports Development Officer with Lee Valley Park Regional Authority.
