McCain UK Cross Challenge Heads For Nottingham

UK Athletics has confirmed that there will be no McCain UK Cross Challenge in London this winter. A date of 14 February had been reserved but due to the absence of a willing host for the event and the appropriate infrastructure, the event will now not take place.

McCain UK Cross Challenge Co-ordinator Cliff Robinson said: “It is unfortunate that we will not be hosting an event in the South of England this year, but it doesn’t detract from what has so  far been an excellent series this winter with races in Gateshead, Liverpool and Antrim well supported by athletes, coaches, spectators and local organisers. We look forward to an exciting series climax in Nottingham on Saturday 7 March.

“We are also working hard behind the scenes to explore all the possibilities of increasing the size of the series and a greater geographical spread for 2009/10 McCain UK Cross Challenge.”
