UKA today announced dates for the forthcoming McCain UK Cross Challenge series 2009/2010. The popular series, which runs the course of the winter season, has in the past played host to a number of memorable British performances, providing high quality fields for both developing and elite athletes.

The series will begin at the Riverside Bowl in Gateshead on the 14 November before moving on to Sefton Park,Liverpool on the 28 November. Bute Park in Cardiff and Greenmount College, Antrim host the race on the 17 and 23 January respectively, while the McCain UK Cross Country final will take place in Birmingham, venue TBC, on 13 March.
