Combined events expert Toni Minichiello has confirmed that he will attend the European Athletics Coaches Association (EACA) in Glasgow on the 1st and 2nd of November as the leader of the combined events discipline specific workshop.

Minichiello has been coaching for 13 years over which time 14 of his athletes – including heptathlete Jessica Ennis who won a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and gold at the 2005 European Junior Championships – have competed internationally.

Minichiello has previously been awarded a place on UK Sport’s innovative Elite Coach scheme which aims to accelerate the development of the nation’s most exciting coaching prospects leading up to the London Olympics in 2012, and is recognised throughout the UK and Europe for his coaching success in the combined events arena.

His input will add another strong dimension to the Conference programme which already includes five-time NCAA Track & Field Champion coach Loren Seagrave, former Great Britain team coach David Sunderland, and Commonwealth Games medallist Robert Weir who will lead the sprints, endurance and throws specific workshops respectively, in addition to keynote speakers Clyde Hart, Yannick Tregaro, Zhong Bingshu and Ken Porter.
