European Mountain running championships – Zell am Harmersbach 12 July 2008

As well as the Olympic trials and World Junior championships, the Norwich Union GB and NI team were in action this weekend and performed well at the European Mountain Running championships, taking Junior women’s team bronze, senior women’s team gold – and Kendal’s Sarah Tunstall winning Individual bronze.

Steve Vernon (Stockport) was top British Male in 20^th – helping the team to 7^th position, whilst top junior male was Tom Addison (Helm Hill) in 17^th position.

The junior Women’s team bronze was won through Hannah Bateson’s (Lancaster & Morecombe) 5^th position, back up by Elinor Kirk (Swansea Harriers) and Jessica Martin (Kilbarchan) in 12^th and 13^th respectively.
