Today’s Muller UK Athletics Championships marks the final event for GB & NI triple jump star Nathan Douglas who is calling time on a 22-year triple Jump career.

The Oxford City athlete who has claimed double European Silver medals, has also represented Great Britain at World Championships and Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

His lifetime best of 17.64m ranks him third in the all time UK rankings and today’s appearance comes 19 years after his first UK Championship appearance back in 2003. Before today he has collected no less than 8 national titles, and battled back from a career-threatening injury in 2007.

Everyone involved in UK Athletics will miss Nathan and wishes him well for his retirement from the sport.
