Former World Junior Championships 100m hurdles bronze medallist Tiffany Adaeze Ofili, who has dual citizenship for Great Britain and the USA, has been cleared to compete for the Aviva GB team by the IAAF.

Under the IAAF competition rules, UK passport holder Ofili, born in Ypsilanti, MI, USA on 13/11/1987 to a British mother, is now eligible to compete for GB because more than three years have elapsed since she competed for the USA at the 2006 World Junior Championships.

Ofili has a personal best of 12.73 for the 100mH and trains at the University of Michigan with coaches James Henry and Arnett Chisholm; she will base herself in the UK for the summer months.

She said: “I am ecstatic to represent Great Britain in athletics henceforth. I will continue to work hard and improve upon my performances to be the best world-class athlete that I can be. I am looking forward to what the future has in store!”
