Nominations Open For Representative Of Clubs Affiliated In England On Uk Members Council

Nominations are invited for a Representative of Clubs Affiliated in England, to be appointed to the UK Members Council, the custodians of the long-term interests of athletics in the UK.

Clubs Affiliated to England Athletics will be able to submit nominations from Wednesday 5 April 2017 with the deadline for the process closing at noon on Monday 8 May.

The purpose of the role is to bring the perspective of athletics clubs in England to the UK Members Council in order to contribute to the planning and review of the UKA Strategic Plan and to help ensure the successful outcomes of the strategic objectives for athletics in the UK.

President of the UK Members Council Jason Gardener MBE commented:

“We welcome nominations for this significant role on the UK Members Council and I encourage clubs across England to nominate those they believe fulfil the criteria of this position. I am looking forward to starting this process to find the new representative of clubs.”

England’s representative on the UK Members Council Myra Nimmo added:

“It is very important that affiliated clubs in England have strong representation on the UK Members Council. I would encourage people involved in our clubs to look at the information about this role and to consider whether they, or someone they know, would be a suitable nomination for the position.”
