UK Athletics is now inviting nominations for two elected roles within the UKA Members group:

• Representative of Affiliated Clubs
• Senior Coach Representative

These positions play an important part in shaping the direction of the sport in the UK, acting as ambassadors, sounding boards, and formal members of UK Athletics Limited with responsibilities defined in the UKA Articles of Association.

Both roles will commence following appointment at the UKA AGM in December 2025, with a four-year term ending in December 2029.

Role Summaries

Representative of Affiliated Clubs
This individual will represent clubs across all four Home Countries, helping bring the club perspective into national strategic discussions. The role includes attending UKA Members meetings, engaging with stakeholders, and helping share and inform best practice across the club system.

Senior Coach Representative
The elected coach will help shape coach development, strategy, and policy through regular engagement with UKA and key coaching stakeholders. This individual must hold a valid Athletics Coach Level licence or higher, with experience at GB level desirable.

How to Nominate

Nominations must be submitted by 17:00 on 29 September 2025 to elections@uka.org.uk and include:
– A completed nomination form (available below)
– A personal resume of the nominee (maximum 250 words)

For Affiliated Club Member

• Candidates must be nominated by an Affiliated Club and seconded by at least 4 other Affiliated Clubs
• The nominating clubs must collectively hold at least 15 votes, based on their registered athlete numbers
• Each club may nominate or second only one candidate

• Candidates must hold a valid licence at Athletics Coach Level or above, with a current DBS
• Nominations may be made by the candidate or another coach, supported by at least 3 other licensed coaches
