World record holder Ben Rushgrove passed on the benefit of his knowledge to young people from the Bath area in the latest Norwich Union star:track coaching programmes at the University of Bath.
 
Ben, who smashed the T36 200m world record at the Visa Paralympic World Cup in Manchester last month, has been coaching young people at Norwich Union’s star:track half-term camps at the Sports Training Village.
 
The 19-year-old University of Bath Sports Performance student sprinted to a new world benchmark of 24.86 seconds – taking more than a fifth of a second off the old record which stood for five years. He completed a golden double by also winning the T36 100m.
 
Kayleigh Harper, another young sprinter who studies at the University of Bath, was also coaching on the star:track programme.
 
Norwich Union star:track provides all-round opportunities for young people aged eight to 15 to hone their skills within structured and exciting coaching programmes.
