Eilish McColgan (coach: Liz McColgan) went to the top of the McCain Power of 10 rankings for 3000m at the XL Galan meeting in Stockholm, Sweden.

McColgan finished second with a personal best 8:49.31 to move ahead of Helen Clitheroe at the top of the 2013 standings.

Andrew Osagie (Craig Winrow) finished third in a competitive 1000m race. Osagie, who turned 25 on Tuesday, recorded a time of 2:18.78 whilst Michael Rimmer (Norman Poole) was fifth in 2:19.20 and Mukhtar Mohammed (Mustafa Mohamed) was seventh in 2:21.13.

Chris Tomlinson (Rana Reider) jumped a season’s best 7.88m but had to settle for sixth in the long jump. Holly Bleasdale (Dan Pfaff, Scott Simpson) was a long way short of her season’s best as her best clearance of 4.45m placed her fourth in the pole vault.

In the 400m, Richard Strachan (Linford Christie) was second in 46.48 and Guy Learmonth (George Gandy) was also second as he ran 1:49.33 in the B 800m. Gianni Frankis (Tony Jarrett) was fifth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.87.
