Two top class competitions for Pole Vaulters will take place over the next two weekends with the UK’s top athletes enjoying an event specific showdown.

First off the 2008 top three female vaulters Kate Dennison, Louise Butterworth and Emma Lyons will go head to head in a women’s competition in Cardiff on Saturday (10 January)

“Vault Cardiff” taking place at UWIC will enable the athletes to face quality competition from Europe in the early weeks of the Indoor season.

Then a week later, Vault Manchester will take place on Saturday 17 January at Sport City, Manchester. Names confirmed for the meet include Dennison, Butterworth and Lyons as well as Henrietta Paxton and Fiona Harrison.

Luke Cutts and Christian North head up the men’s field at the same meet.
