AN extremely busy week with British athletes competing in 11 different European countries and an action packed weekend on home soil including the England Athletics U20 and U23 championships.

The first McCain UKC record of the year was achieved by Perri Shakes-Drayton (Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets) at the weekend when she achieved a ‘full house’ of bonus points over her 400m hurdles heat and final.

In the final she recorded a PB, was the meeting winner and a Challenge Record and she achieved the Power of 10 bonus the day before in her heat. She claimed 268 points for the final and a further 15 points in her heat and this is the highest points score for a single performance so far this year.
