Seagrave To Lead EACA 2008 Sprints Workshop

scottishathletics has confirmed that Loren Seagrave has been added to the line up for the prestigious European Athletics Coaches Association (EACA) Conference to be held in Glasgow on 1-2 November 2008, and will lead the sprints/hurdles specific workshop as part of the event which is expected to be a sell out.

 

Seagrave is regarded as one of the worlds most sought after sprint coaches and is a five-time NCAA Track & Field Champion coach. His client list includes over 50 Olympic medal winners, first round NFL draft picks and professionals from virtually every sport.

 

He co-founded Velocity Sports Performance in 1999, a training school for speed power development that has grown into an international success.

 

Seagrave coached sprinters Donovan Bailey and Andre Cason, as well as three of the top ten US women 100 metre sprinters of all time, Dawn Sowell, Sheila Echols and Gwen Torrence. He is regarded as one of the most renowned speed and sports performance coaches in the world and one of the leading experts of applied sports science for today’s high performance athlete.

 

Seagrave will join former Great Britain team coach David Sunderland and Commonwealth Games medallist Robert Weir who will lead the endurance and throws workshops respectively, in addition to keynote speakers Clyde Hart, Yannick Tregaro, Zhong Bingshu and Ken Porter.
