Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Stephanie Twell (coach: Mick Woods) fractured her ankle when competing in the Lotto CrossCup in Hannut, Belgium yesterday (13 February).

Contrary to early reports, there was no open fracture.

The injury was re-set at hospital and Twell is now in plaster. She is currently travelling back from Belgium and will see UKA medics for further scans to confirm the extent of the injury on arrival back in the UK later today.
