The event will bring the coaching community together to gain knowledge and more importantly to network with each other. Kevin Tyler will open the conference with ‘Trackside interventions and movement grids’ and this will be followed by event workshops in a number of disciplines such as fundamentals, sprints, throws, endurance and jumps.

The event group speakers include President of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sport Drew Harrison, UKA Apprentice Coach for Sprints and Hurdles James Hillier, one of the world’s foremost Youth development experts Derek Evely, Olympic and Commonwealth medalist Liz McColgan and Scott Grace, England Athletics National Coach Mentor for Youth Development.

Kevin Tyler, UKA Strategic Head of Coaching and Development said: “I am delighted to be returning to Northern Ireland for their Annual Coaching Conference which will be delivered jointly through UK Athletics and Athletics NI.

“This is an opportunity for all coaches to learn or refresh on current coaching methods and more importantly to network with each other. The conference will deliver a topic of interest to all coaches attending, and will also continue the excitement from the Olympics. I look forward to meeting with all the coaches in September.”

Coaching and Club Development Manager Vicki Kennedy said: "I am enthusiastic about this third Athletics NI coaching conference as it brings all our coaches together to learn and network. It is exciting that we have the high calibre of speakers delivering at this conference to pass on their knowledge and experiences to our eager coaches attending.
