UK Athletics Awards Dinner 2007

The UK Athletics Awards, will be held on 1 December at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, and will recognise the people that help to make athletics a winning sport at all levels.

 

The Awards Dinner is the culmination of a series of Regional and National award presentations across the UK, held in partnership with England Athletics, Scottish Athletics, Welsh Athletics and the Northern Ireland Athletics Federation.

 

Overall winners will be announced in each of the five categories, covering coaches, officials, volunteers, clubs and partnerships, plus a number of other awards including Athlete of the Year.

 

Olympic medallist Darren Campbell will present the awards, which are supported by Heidsieck & Co Monopole Champagne, and the evening will be hosted by Olympic medallist and broadcaster Katharine Merry.

 

A Norwich Union Great Britain & Northern Ireland team athlete – past or present – will join every table and guest speaker will be Geoff Miller, former Derbyshire and England cricketer. A disco and sports quiz will also be included.

 

Also confirmed as attending is Olympic Gold medallist David Hemery CBE, who will be presenting the British Olympic Association UKA Athlete of the Year Award.

 

Places cost just £30 per person, including four-course meal, champagne and car parking. Tables of 10 can be booked at a discounted rate of £275.
