Tickets are now on sale for the UK Athletics Championships taking place at the Alexander Stadium Birmingham 2-3 August 2025, following a record-breaking Indoor Championships at the nearby Utilita Arena.

The fixture, which will be the first UKA event staged at the regenerated stadium since it hosted the Commonwealth Games, is the second national championships in Birmingham this year following the successful weekend indoors on 22-23 February.

Last month’s championships saw 12,000 people flock to the arena in central Birmingham showing the huge continuing appetite for athletics in the midlands. With tickets being released earlier this week for the August fixture athletics fans will be able to look forward to the stadium hosting another major championship in 2026 – as the UK plays host to the European Athletics Championships 10-16 August.

As the only remaining major track and field championship fixture never to have been within the UK, it will no doubt be well received by fans who have come to associate a visit to Birmingham with world class athletics.

Furthermore, fans can get an early peek of the up-and-coming talent that will be competing in 2026 with the European Indoor Championships taking place in Apeldoorn, NED, this weekend 6-9 March.

A strong team of 42 athletes are set to line up in the Netherlands in the coming days with Olympic medallists Georgia Bell, Lina Nielsen, Amber Anning and Alex Haydock-Wilson and many others also in the GB & NI team.
