UKA is set to celebrate the most exciting summer of athletics this country has ever seen with our Twitter ‘Prize Giveaway Day’ later this week.

On Wednesday 18th April between 10am-4pm, UKA will be giving away a prize every half hour to fans that follow @UKA_athletics on Twitter.

We’ll also be announcing the results of our search for the UK’s favourite Olympic Gold medal winning moment survey.

With the exhilarating outdoor season fast approaching, the countdown really is on as we reach 100 days to go to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

But first – kicking it all off in June – the drama unfolds at the Aviva 2012 Trials in Birmingham as 750 of Britain’s best athletes go head-to-head for a chance to represent the UK this summer.

In July, the world’s best athletes descend on the nation’s capital for the Aviva London Grand Prix. The world’s only two-day Samsung Diamond League event will be the final chance for fans to give their athletics heroes a rousing send-off as the 2012 outdoor season heats up.

And later this summer, UKA will welcome back our 2012 heroes as some of the best athletes in the world compete at the Aviva Birmingham Grand Prix on 26th August. The final major athletics event of the year, this Samsung Diamond League meet is sure to get pulses racing.
