UKA McCain Mountain Running Conference

Following on from the success of an inaugural training camp in 2011, UKA, in association England Athletics, will be hosting the first edition of the UKA McCain Mountain running Coaching Conference in Loughborough on Saturday 28th April.
The conference, which is limited in capacity, is free of charge for licensed coaches subject to availability. Attendees will be able to access a raft of endurance knowledge led by keynote speaker Kasie Wallace – the 2011 World Mountain Running Champion.
Other speakers and subjects set for discussion are UKA’s NEC for Endurance George Gandy – ‘Preparing for major international competition’, Dave Rowland discussing conditioning for mountain running (including taking a practical session with athletes), UKA senior physiologist Barry Fudge covering optimal preparation, including heat acclimatization, and Dr Sarah Rowell – presenting a review of 2011, as well as an overview of trials and selection for 2012
