UKA Shortlisted For Sport Governing Body Of The Year

UKA has once again made the shortlist for the Sport Governing Body of the Year Award, sponsored by the Daily Telegraph, completing the shortlist line-up for the Sport Industry Awards 2012.

Following the Aviva GB & NI team’s best ever performance at a World indoor Championships, UKA have been judged against four key pillars of governance – Performance, Leadership, Community and Ethics – in one of the most exciting years in the history of British sport.

UKA’s achievements will also be profiled in the Daily Telegraph in the next six weeks, before the the star-studded Sport Industry Awards ceremony on Wednesday 2nd May.

Nick Keller, the Chairman of the Sport Industry Group, commented:

“A number of governing bodies the world over have had their ethics and leadership questioned in recent years, but every organisation that entered this year’s Sport Governing Body of the Year Award can point proudly to fantastic efforts at transparency and leadership.
