UK Athletics and the Home Country Athletics Federations fully support the stance taken by World Athletics in sanctioning Russia and Belarus as a consequence of the invasion of Ukraine.

We welcome their statement which excludes all athletes, support personnel and officials from Russia and Belarus from all World Athletics Series events for the foreseeable future, with immediate effect.

We stand in solidarity with the athletics family across the world in support of the athletics community in the Ukraine, and they are very much in our thoughts at this time.
