UKA TRACKMARK UPDATE

UKA TrackMark helps leverage £15m investment in facilities

TrackMark is UKAs facility accreditation scheme. It ensures that all venues used for licensed competition meet minimum standards and are safe and fit for purpose for all involved.

Since its introduction in 2018, over 150 UK venues have achieved TrackMark accreditation, with many more working towards it.

In addition to ensuring that venues meet recognised minimum standards, TrackMark also provides an important reminder to venue operators that track and field facilities do not last forever. To ensure they remain fit for purpose, they require an ongoing programme of maintenance and investment throughout their life cycle.

TrackMark has been hugely successful to date, and in the past five years has helped leverage over £15m for 58 track resurfacing projects, 84 throws cage modifications, and 30 brand new cages.

TrackMark Accreditation and Competition Licensing

  • From April 2023, venues hosting licensed competitions must be accredited in relevant TrackMark units.

Clubs, coaches, athletes, officials, competition providers and venue operators can check the current status of their local facility by using the interactive map available via the UKA website.

For questions relating to current venue status, facility operators should email: TrackMark@uka.org.uk.

Further details of the TrackMark scheme and general facility information and guidance can be found on the ‘Facilities’ section of the UKA website.
