EAP Meeting Graziano Della Valle, Pavia, ITA 9 May

In the men’s 100m Rikki Fifton (Newham & Essex Beagles) took the victory in 10.35 (-0.4) with Leon Baptiste (Enfield & Haringey) third 10.46 and Joel Fearon (Birchfield) fifth in 10.66. Richard Buck (City of York) came fourth in round one of the 400m clocking 46.33 with Nigel Levine (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) fifth in 46.81. In round two Nathan Woodward (Tamworth) took first place in 47.18. In the 400m hurdles first round Richard Davenport (Gloucester) took second place in 51.41 with Andy Blow (Basingstoke Mid Hants) in third place 52.79, Francis Smith (Woodford Green with Essex Ladies) fourth with 53.39 and Niall Flannery (Gateshead U20) fifth 54.72. In the second round Jack Green (Kent U20) took third place in 52.81. Jermain Olasan (Blackheath & Bromley U20) finished in ninth place in the long jump 6.78m (0.0). In the women’s events Laura Turner (Harrow) took the victory in the 100m 11.57 (0.2) with Elaine O’Neill (Woodford Green with Essex Ladies) fourth in 11.86. In round one of the 400m Hayley Jones (Wigan) took first place in 53.23 with Kim Wall (Basildon) in third place 53.85 and Helen Pryer (Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow) fifth in 54.45. Bristol 10k (including England 10k Championships), Bristol 9 May

Gordon Mugi (Kenya) took the title running a very swift 28:29 with Moumin Geele (Newham & Essex Beagles) taking the runners-up spot in 29:05 with Jean Ndayisenga (Birchfield) in third with 29:08 and Andy Vernon (Aldershot, Farnham & District) finishing in fourth place in 29:12.
