McCain Liverpool Cross Challenge, November 27

Most of the UK’s top distance runners were at the McCain Liverpool Cross Challenge incorporating the European Cross Country Championship Trials at Sefton Park, Liverpool, on Saturday.

Florence Marathon, November 28

In cold and rainy weather, Ben Whitby was a strong fourth in a huge personal best of 2:15:08. That places him third in the Power of Ten rankings.

Whitby (Coach: Andrew Hobdell) passed halfway in 67:09 and moved into fourth in the last 10km. Tom Bedford (Andrew Hobdell) took almost 5 minutes off his PB to finish sixth with 2:19:30 and go 12th in the 2010 rankings.
