ING New York Marathon, November 6

Jo Pavey (coach: Gavin Pavey) was a fine ninth in 2:28:42 just missing her PB from London she ran a particularly strong second half on the undulating course. The time is well inside UKA’s Olympic A standard of 2:31:00.

Shelly Woods (coach: Peter Eriksson) clocked her quickest time ever on the New York course when finishing second in the wheelchair race in 1:52:50.

Saucony ECCU Cross Country Relays, Mansfield, November 5

Stockport won the men’s title with Steve Vernon (coach: David Turnbull) the fastest overall with 15:26.45.

Charnwood were the winning women’s team with Gemma Steel (coach: John Nuttall) with 9:49.30 achieve the fastest leg.
