Telford 10km, December 16

Olympic 1500m runner Andy Baddeley (Andrew Hobdell) made a successful 10km debut winning in 29:08, which placs him equal fourth on the McCain Power of Ten rankings. Olympic 5000m representative Nick McCormick (Lindsay Dunn) finished second in 29:21. Former European under 23 5000m champion Laura Whittle (George Gandy) won the women’s race in 34:14.

Venta de Banos, Spain, December 16

In the women’s 6.775km, Hannah Walker (Bud Baldaro)  finished second in 23:56 to Kenyan Mercy Cherono. Patrick Martin (David Turnbull) was the leading British man in fifth in 36:06 in the men’s 10.575km.Jonathan Davies (Rob McKim) and Rebecca Weston (James Roberts) won the junior races.

Poole Parkrun, December 15

Louise Damen, who led the British team to medals in the European cross-country championships won in a time of 16:24.
