Athlone, January 27
Matt McLaughlin (Coach: Ayo Falola) enjoyed a huge breakthrough to take almost five seconds off his PB as he set an UK junior 1500m record with 3:42.87 in winning the race.
Alex Wright clocked an indoor British record in the 3k race walk finishing in a time of 11:23.99 to secure second place behind 50k race walk Olympic finalist Rob Heffernan.

Combined Events International, Valencia, January 27
Morgan Lake (Eldon Lake) missed her age 15 age record by just four points as she won the under-20 match with 3961 points.
Brogan Crowley (Christopher Bartram) was second with 3728 points.
Katy Marchant (Toni Minichiello) won the under-23 event with a PB 3965 points.
Karla Drew (Toni Minichiello) led the senior women team in fifth place with 4068 points.
David Guest (Mike Guest) won the under-23 match with 5418 points.
John Lane (Toni Minichiello) was the top British senior man in eighth in a PB 5433 points.
David Omoregie (Mike Guest) was third in the under-20 men’s heptathlon with 5067 points.

London U20/Senior Games, Lee Valley, January 27
Dina Asher Smith (John Blackie) twice ran a PB of 7.36 for 60m to go top of the McCain Power of Ten junior rankings.

Olympic finalist Steven Lewis (Dan Pfaff) went top of the McCain Power of ten senior rankings with his fifth place pole vault of 5.62m.

Tom Farrell (Dave Smith), who led the British men in the European cross-country championships last month, showed good speed when he set a mile PB of 3:58.20 to go top of the UK mile rankings for 2013.
Northern Cross-Country Championships, Knowsley, January 26
Steve Vernon (David Turnbull) won the men’s race by over a minute.
Hatti Archer (Bud Buldaro) won the women’s race from fellow internationals Elle Baker (David Turnbull) and Susan Partridge (Jon Montgomery).

Midland Championships, Stafford, January 26
Leicester triathlete Connor Murphy won his first men’s title, while Juliet Doyle (Roy Stowell) won her third women’s title.

Boston, January 25/26
While Mo Farah’s training partner Galen Rupp was running a very fast 3:50.92 to win race 1, Matthew Gillespie (Amanda Gillespie) who previously had been regarded as a 5000m runner totally rewrote his 1500m/Mile PB with his 3:58.55 mile time to go second in the UK rankings and win race 2.

Newham Sprint Series, January 23
Sean Safo-Antwi (Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo) improved his 60m PB from 6.78 to 6.61, which put him top of the UK rankings, until Dwain Chambers went slightly quicker in Glasgow.
