Birmingham Games, February 2/3

Olympic 100m runner James Dasaolu (coach: Steve Fudge) made a great debut to 2013 to run a PB 6.60 60m to go second in the McCain Power of ten rankings. His time equalled British Athletics European Indoor standard.

Asha Philip (Christine Bowmaker) won the women’s 60m in 7.24, which betters the European indoor standard of 7.30, and puts her top of the rankings. Olympic 400m medallist Christine Ohuruogu (Lloyd Cowan) was third in 7.64.

Fourteen year-old Ryan Gorman won the under 17 200m in 22.11 to go top of the 2013 rankings.

Nigel Levine (Linford Christie) set a 200m PB of 20.93 to go top of the UK rankings. Another Olympian, 400m runner, Conrad Williams (Linford Christie) went second in the rankings with his indoor PB 21.18.

Tom Parsons (Aston Moore) won the high jump with a season’s best of 2.22m to go third in the UK rankings.

Margaret Adeoye (Linford Christie) won a 200m race  in an UK ranking topping and indeed an Europe lead time of 22.98. Ohuruogu ran 23.90 to win another race.

Katie Byres (Julien Raffalli-Ebezant) won the pole vault with 4.30m to go third in the UK rankings.

In the 400m, Richard Strachan (Linford Christie) ran 46.22 to go top of the UK rankings and Richard Buck (Steve Fudge) ran 46.47 to go third. Both times are inside the 46.90 European Indoor standard.

Olympic 400m hurdler Elidih Child (Malcolm Arnold) won the 400m in an indoor PB of 52.71 to go second in the rankings and was well inside the European indoor standard of 53.25. 800m specialist Marilyn Okoro (Nick Anderson) was second in 54.39.

In the 60m hurdles Andy Pozzi (Malcolm Arnold) had a great first competition of 2013 to win his heat in 7.58, to go top of the UK rankings and just miss his PB, but go well inside the European indoor standard of 7.65. He fared less well in the final with 7.91, but still crossed the line in first place.

Chichester 10km, February 3

Former world junior 1500m champion Stephanie Twell (Mick Woods) won in a time of 33:44 to go top of the McCain Power of ten rankings.

Moscow, Russia, February 3

Holly Bleasdale (Dan Pfaff, Scott Simpson) won the pole vault in a top class 4.75m, which is the second best vault in the world and her second best ever and easily tops the McCain Power of ten rankings. The UKA standard for the European indoors is 4.50m Another Olympic finalist, Shara Proctor (Rana Reider) was fourth in the long jump with 6.44m to go top of the long jump rankings and Chris Tomlinson (Rana Reider) did likewise when he was second in the long jump with 7.83m.

Dwain Chambers (Rana Reider) ran 6.63 for second in the 60m final after 6.65 in his heat.

Karlshrue, Germany, February 2

The 2012 indoor sensation Joe Thomas (Arwyn Davies) was fourth in the 800m in 1:48.04, to go second in the McCain Power of Ten rankings but just miss the European indoor standard of 1:48.00.

New Balance Boston Games, Boston, USA, February 2

Tiffany Porter (Rana Reider) was second in the 60m hurdles in 7.99 to go top of the McCain Power of Ten rankings and run inside the European indoor standard of 8.10.

Linz, Austria,  January 31

Sophie McKinna (Geoff Capes) set an outright PB and British junior indoor record of 16.38m which gave her second place. She lies clearly top of the senior rankings for 2013
