European Winter Throwing Cup, Castellon, Spain, March 16/17
Mark Dry (coach: Tore Gustafsson) won the B Hammer in 73.22m to go top of the McCain Power of ten rankings, in the same competition Olympic finalist Alex Smith (Shane Peacock) finished third with 68.34m.
Sophie McKinna (Geoff Capes) was second in the Under-23 shot put with a throw of 16.09m. Also competing in the shot put, Rachel Wallader (Geoff Capes) was 12th with a best throw of 15.20m.
Sophie Hitchon (Tore Gustafsson) wasn’t at her best and was tenth in the women’s hammer with 66.69m.

NYC Half Marathon, USA, March 17
In a top class race, Susan Partridge finished 16th in 72:20.
London 2012 Olympic marathon runner Freya Ross (Steve Jones) finished 21st in 74:54.

Perth Track Classic, Australia, March 17
Steve Lewis (Dan Pfaff, Scott Simpson) won the pole vault with 5.60m to go top of the McCain Power of Ten outdoor rankings as he again beat former Olympic champion Steve Hooker.
Olympic champion Greg Rutherford (Dan Pfaff) won the long jump with 7.89m to also go top of the outdoor rankings.

Matt Sherling (Adrian Webb) and Rebecca Murray won the senior titles on a tough course in Derbyshire

Jade Lally (Andrew Neal) went top of the UK discus rankings with her 55.08m second place.

11th Memorial Mario Albisetti, EAA Race Walking Permit Meeting/IAAF Race Walking Challenge, Lugano, Switzerland, 17th March
Alex Wright (Raphael Rinaldi) went to 4th on the UK All Time 20km rankings with a big personal best and World Championships A qualifying standard when he clocked 83.05.

Midlands Championships, Abbey Park, Leicester
Heather Lewis (Martin Bell) clocked a fine 1.45.53 in her debut 20km which puts her at the top of the Power of 10 rankings for 2013 and places her 18th on the UK all time list and 5th on the under 23 all time list. In the Junior 10km Ellie Dooley (Andi Drake) took nearly a minute off her personal best to clock 52.56 and go to the top of the UK under 20 rankings and 24th on the all time List.
