Heaton Memorial 10km, Newcastle Upon Tyne, November 10

In form Ryan McLeod (coach: John Nuttall) and Alyson Dixon (self-coached) both gained easy wins in respective times of 29:58 and 34:48.

Soria Cross-Country, Spain, November 10

Juliet Potter (Roy Stowell) was part of the sixteen strong England team that travelled to this high quality cross country race in Spain, where she finished fourth on a fast, flat course. In the senior men’s race, Adam Hickey (Eamonn Martin) was the leading GB & NI athlete in 24th.

The under-20 races saw England victories, with UK inter counties champion Jonathan Davies (Rob McKim) taking the men’s race in 18:41 from Matt Shirling (Adrian Webb) and Grace Baker (Mick Woods) won a close women’s race in 12:57 with Abbie Hetherington (Frank Davidson) third in 13:01
