Fukuoka Marathon, Japan, December 1

Ben Moreau (Nick Anderson), who ran for Britain in the 2010 European Championships and for England in the Commonwealth Games that year, set a new marathon personal best of 2:15:52 to finish 11th. This puts him third in the Power of Ten rankings for 2013.

Sale Indoor Open, December 1

Luke Cutts (Trevor Fox), the British number two pole vaulter of 2013, won with a leap of 5.30m.

World Youth champion Harry Coppell (John Mitchell) was second with a vault of 5.00m.
