Home Countries International, Nottingham, March 22

Andrew Heyes (coach: Keith Whitelam) won the senior men’s race in 31:33.

Doug Musson (Trevor Muxlow) won the junior men’s race in 25:27.

Midlands’ Catherine Blew (Bud Baldaro) won the women’s race in 28:07 from England’s 41 year-old Miranda Heathcote (John Scott).

Grace Baker (Mick Woods) won the junior women’s race in 21:06 from England team-mate Amy Griffiths (Woods).

England won three of the four team events with the North winning the junior men’s race.

SIAB Schools International, Bolton, March 22

Ben Dijkstra followed up his wins in the UK Inter Counties, English National and English Schools Championships with another success in the intermediate boys race.

Ireland’s Patrick Maher won the junior boys race from ESAA champion Matthew Willis by three seconds.

In the Intermediate girls race, UK Inter Counties and North of England and ESAA champion Harriet Knowles-Jones (Russell Tart) won by 42 seconds from the younger Sabrina Sinha (Mark Newell), who had won the English National and Inter Counties this winter.

Ireland’s Caoimhe Harrington won the junior girls race from Josie Czura (Gerry North) as both shared the winning time.

England won all four team events, and in the Inter Girls race had all of the first eight.

World Indoor Throw, Växjö, Sweden, March 22

Zane Duquemin (John Hillier) went top of the UK rankings with his win in 18.86m.

He finished second in the discus with 59.53m to also top the 2014 rankings in that event.
