Julien Raffalli-Ebezant, coach to GB & NI World Junior representative Katie Byres, presents the final video in his series on pole vault coaching. He outlines his training philosophy and explains how his French influences have guided him. Loren Seagrave: Long Term Talent Development (Part 3)

World-renowned sprints coach Loren Seagrave presents from Crystal Palace as he discusses various aspects related to long-term athlete development. Malcolm Fenton and David Parker on the Throws (Part 2)

In part two of this podcast, England Athletics National Coach Mentor for Heavy Throws, Malcolm Fenton, speaks to David Parker, National Coach Mentor for Javelin, about the throwing events. They discuss physical preparation for the throws and the biomechanical principles, injury prevention, "the specificity trap", specific training modalities and the speed component in training.

Malcolm Arnold: Planning the Training Year

In this video from late 2010, British Athletics Hurdles Lead Coach Malcolm Arnold talks about the importance of planning and periodization when training for the 400m hurdles.Arnold, coach to former World, European and Commonwealth Champion Dai Greene, discusses race pacing and uses video analysis and touchdown times of British Athletics’ top hurdlers to emphasize the importance of a well-drilled stride pattern. Arnold has coached athletes to more than 65 major medals over a 44 year career.

Martin Rush February Endurance Newsletter
