World Indoor Standards By England Trio

Three of the England Athletics team emerged from the Indoor Classic international meeting in Vienna, Austria, last night with qualifying marks for the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Valencia, Spain, in March.

 

Celia Brown (Rugby and Northampton AC) set the exceptionally high standard for the team in the opening event by achieving a massive 1500m PB of 4:11.29.

 

Richard Hill (Notts AC) clocked 1:47.53 in the men’s 800m to go almost 2 seconds clear of his nearest rival in the Power of 10 rankings.

 

Ryan Scott (Yate and District AC) matched the 60m selection standard of 6.65 seconds in his heat and then won the final in 6.66.
