Important update on car parking from Nottingham City Council and the organisers

Due to this winter’s exceptional rainfall, the planned car parking area for athletes and spectators at Wollaton Park is waterlogged and we are unable to use it for the event.

Wollaton Park is a very popular park. With very limited car parking available on site due to waterlogged ground conditions, all athletes and spectators are required to park in Nottingham city centre and take the bus to Wollaton. Vehicle gates to the park will be closed when car parking capacity has been reached, with only accredited vehicles given access.

Please do not park on local residential streets, these are restricted to residents only. Parking enforcement will be working in the area on Saturday, to avoid a fixed penalty notice, please travel to the event

We recommend the following city centre car parks, which are all adjacent to bus stops serving Wollaton Park

Trinity Square multi-storey car park, NG1 4BT

440 spaces, 2.5m height restriction

4-hours parking £7.20

6-hours parking £11.00

8-hours parking £15.00

Victoria Centre car parks

2,540 spaces

Glasshouse Street entrance NG1 3LT 1.8m height restriction

York Street entrance NG1 3GX 1.8m height restriction

Woodborough Road entrance NG1 3JT 2.3m height restriction

5-hours £9.70

6-hours £13.00

Service 30 to Wollaton

30 service stops at stop number J5, services run every 20 minutes from half past the hour e.g. 09:20, 09:50, 10:10 etc. Journey time for the 30 is approx. 15 minutes.

Travelling via Ilkeston Road, Crown Island and along Wollaton Road and stop outside the main Wollaton Park Gate entrance. Please note service 30 can only operate as single decker buses, so capacity may be restricted at peak times.

All services cost a £2 single ticket. If you are travelling in a group Group Rider tickets costs £8 for unlimited travel all day for up to 5 people (max of 2 adults, and an additional 3 Kids under 19). All NCT buses accept cash or contactless.

NCT are aware of the event and will monitor passenger capacity, with the option to increase service capacity if required due to the event.

If you are travelling by coach

There is no coach parking available at Wollaton Park. A drop off and pick up only service is available within the park. Coach drivers wishing to park up during the event should head to Victoria Embankment where free on-road coach parking is available. Access via Queens Drive (A453) NG2 2GJ.

When planning you journey we recommend allowing an additional 45-60 minute journey time due to these restrictions.
