UKA Selection Policies

For the Championships event and course, details will be as follows:

• Senior Uphill Only Race – 8.9km + 1280m / – 80m
• Junior Uphill Only Race – 3.8km + 425m / – 20m
• Trail Race – 52km + 2450m / 2450m
• Senior Up-and-Down Races – 13.1km + 825m / – 825m
• Junior Up-and-Down Races – 5.7km + 325m / – 325m
NB: Juniors born 2007 – 2010 inclusive.

Trail race trial

The trail race trial will be held on 11th April 2026 in conjunction with Run Through Trails Lake District 53k.

Uphill and Up and Down Trials

The Uphill trial will be held on 1st May 2026 at Fitz Park, Keswick, Cumbria.

The Up and Down Trial will be held on 3rd May 2026 at the People’s Hall, Sedbergh, Cumbria.

All athletes wishing to be considered for selection, including those who attend the trials, will need to complete an Expression of Interest form. This will be available in the selection policy when live.
